Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an active affiliate or referral program?

Answer: Yes, we have an active affiliate/referral program. You can find all the details and sign up through this link: Affiliate Program.

Can I request the network map with IPs to be semi-obscured?

Answer: For privacy reasons, we do not share IP addresses, as that constitutes personal information. However, if you name your node after your IP address (which is not recommended), it will be visible in the node name. 😄

Will the points we're earning now count toward the actual token, or are we just earning play tokens until the mainnet launch?

Answer: The points you earn now will be exchangeable for testnet tokens, which will be swapped 1:1 for mainnet tokens once the mainnet is launched.

It’s unclear how to install NVIDIA drivers for Docker on Windows. Are they still needed? The instructions seem to be Linux-only.

Answer: On Windows, you'll need to use Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL2) and install the necessary Linux drivers within WSL2 for Docker to leverage NVIDIA GPUs.

I'm getting a Docker error: "The container name '/brinxai_worker' is already in use." What should I do?

Answer: Run docker ps to see the list of currently running containers. You can then stop the worker container by executing docker stop <container_name>.

Answer: You can find the recommended hardware specifications for Worker Nodes in our GitBook: Worker Nodes Setup.

Answer: Recommended hardware specifications for Relay Nodes are available here: Relay Nodes Setup.

Is there any incentive for Node Runners?

Answer: Yes, node runners are rewarded during both testnet and mainnet phases. Testnet participants receive a share of 4%, while 52% is allocated for Worker Nodes and 7% for Relay Nodes in the mainnet.

Is there any incentive for the Social Airdrop Campaign?

Answer: Yes, participants who actively engage in our social media campaigns on platforms like Discord and Twitter will be rewarded from the 4% allocation for Testnet Participants.

How can I find my Public IP and check Port availability for Worker Nodes?

Answer: You can use portchecker.co to find your public IP and verify if port 5011/TCP is open.

How can I find my Public IP and check Port availability for Relay Nodes?

Answer: Use IP Void to find your public IP and check if port 1194/UDP is open by using IP Void's UDP Port Scan.

Where is the token being traded, or is it available OTC?

Answer: The token is currently in the testnet phase, so it's not available for trading. However, points earned now will be converted into tokens during the mainnet launch.

Can I run nodes on multiple devices under the same account?

Answer: Currently, only one device per IP address is allowed for running nodes.

How do I run and register a Worker Node?

Answer: You can follow the step-by-step guide in our GitBook: Worker Nodes Setup.

How do I run and register a Relay Node?

Answer: A detailed guide for Relay Nodes is available here: Relay Nodes Setup.

Are there any AI tasks being processed currently?

Answer: Yes, AI tasks are being processed, though the workload varies depending on the system's current demand and development stage.

When will the testnet end, and when will the mainnet launch?

Answer: The testnet is expected to transition into mainnet during Q1 2025.

Can someone share the commands to manually run models from the operating system?

Answer: Visit workers.brinxai.com, click on "Models," then select "Manual Start" to view the commands needed for each model.

Can I run a Worker Node in my home lab with a dynamic IP?

Answer: No, a static public IP is currently required. However, Dynamic DNS (DDNS) support will be added in an upcoming Worker Node update.

Can I run a Relay Node in my home lab with a dynamic IP?

Answer: A static public IP is required to run Relay Nodes.

How does the point system work?

Answer: Worker Nodes earn 1 point for being online, plus 3 points for every hour a model is running. Relay Nodes earn between 1 and 2 points per hour, but this system can be adjusted in the future.

How do I check the leaderboard for the Twitter event on Discord?

Answer: Go to the command channel in Discord and type /leaderboard to check the event standings.

What is the difference between a Worker Node and a Relay Node?

Answer: Worker Nodes process AI tasks and require higher hardware specs, while Relay Nodes share bandwidth and can operate on lower-spec devices.

Should I run the node with CPU or GPU?

Answer: Currently, only CPU is supported. A GPU-supported update will be released soon with the User Dashboard Alpha.

How is the project currently funded?

Answer: The project is entirely self-funded by the team. All investments come from the team's own third-party ventures and are reinvested into BrinxAI.

How can I join the testnet?

Answer: You can join the testnet by either running a node or by actively participating in our social airdrop campaigns.

Is there a lightweight Worker Node option for low-spec devices?

Answer: No, but if you have a low-spec device, you can run a Relay Node instead.

I read that we need license keys to receive rewards for operating nodes, and the first batch of Worker Licenses costs $140, while Relay Licenses will always cost $15. Is that correct?

Answer: Yes, BrinxAI operates on a Proof of Participation (PoP) system. You can either offer your computing power via Worker Nodes or your bandwidth via Relay Nodes. During the testnet, participation is free, but later you will need to purchase license keys.

What is the estimated price of Worker Node license keys?

Answer:

  • Batch 1 (0-2000 licenses): $140 each, total revenue $280,000

  • Batch 2 (2001-6000 licenses): $320 each, total revenue $1,280,000

  • Batch 3 (6001-10000 licenses): $560 each, total revenue $2,240,000

  • Batch 4 (10001-14000 licenses): $760 each, total revenue $2,720,000

  • Total expected revenue: $6,220,000

What is the estimated price of Relay Node license keys?

Answer:

  • Batch 1 (0-42000 licenses): $15 each

  • Total expected revenue: $630,000

If I only run a Worker Node or a Relay Node, will I still receive rewards without buying a license?

Answer: Yes, you'll still receive rewards on the mainnet even if you're only running one type of node.

When will the key sale and Token Generation Event (TGE) take place?
